Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS) selects MediSolution for hosted Laboratory Information System solution

Montreal, Quebec (May 2, 2007) - MediSolution Ltd (TSX:MSH), a leading healthcare and public sector information technology company, today announced that Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS), one of the largest and most respected healthcare management companies in the US, has purchased MediSolution’s automated TDSynergy laboratory information system and Virtuo Business Intelligence solution for a system-wide implementation of their acute care hospitals. The comprehensive solution will be centrally hosted at the King of Prussia corporate headquarters and used by twenty-five different sites across the UHS network. Three hospitals, located in Nevada and Florida, have been identified for the initial phase of the project which is slated for implementation over the next twelve months. The contract is expected to generate over $5 Million in software licensing and professional services revenue over the next three years.

Specifically designed to increase operational efficiency and results reporting within clinical laboratories, the MediSolution laboratory information solution automates numerous functions, ranging from laboratory requests, to the integration of point of care testing, to the production and communication of web-enabled final test results. The UHS solution includes the implementation of the core laboratory, microbiology, anatomical pathology, web-outreach and document management modules.

First installation of TD-Synergy General Laboratory  in Manila: a new milestone for Technidata in the Philippines
